True North is a counselling and psychology practice based in Melbourne.

We provide counselling, psychology and consulting services delivered by Counselling Psychologists, Accredited Mental Health Social Workers and Relationship Counsellors.

Our clinical team aims to provide a supportive and collaborative environment in which individuals and couples can work through personal and relationship issues and develop strategies for dealing with challenging life events. We are LGBTQIA+ friendly and neurodiversity affirming practitioners.

We practice from premises in Brunswick East, and we also provide online telehealth video consultation services. Please make contact to discuss your needs and book an appointment.

Medicare rebates and referrals

For services to individuals provided by Counselling Psychologists and Mental Health Social Workers, a Medicare rebate is available with a referral from a medical practitioner. This covers part of the fee. The full fee is paid up front and then the value of the rebate is paid back to the client. We will process that rebate claim for you on the day of your appointment, and it usually is received into your Medicare nominated bank account within 24 hours.

You can still access all our services without a referral or rebate.

Please note that relationship counselling is not eligible for a rebate under Medicare rules.

Private health insurance

If you have private health insurance, you can check with your health insurer for rebate details. In some cases, private health rebates can be claimed onsite via our HICAPS facility.
