organisational and leadership COACHING

Supporting individual development at all role levels.

We have mentored, led, coached and managed numerous individuals in a wide variety of roles and contexts. As part of this we have helped leaders and organisations create the conditions in which they and their staff are engaged, effective and successful, as well as addressing and minimising the negative impacts of occupational stress, conflict, staff underperformance, and ineffective leadership within organisations.

Coaching is a learning and development opportunity that will help a participant to realise their working potential. Coaching is used to support individual development at all role levels from frontline to Executive staff. Coaching is a fully customised experience tailored to the challenges, context and goals the participant identifies.

Coaching is a process, and the outcomes are directly proportionate to the effort and preparation the participant invests. The coach will guide the participant through the process, helping them to determine what is important and how they can focus their energy and skills to foster success.

The coach and participant share an alliance – working side-by-side to help achieve specific, measurable performance goals.

The coach is there to listen, direct, guide and support the participant the whole way and to offer advice for continuing their development beyond a formal program.

A coaching program over several sessions provides the participant with the opportunity to focus on their development for a dedicated period of time. This will increase self-awareness and build their skill and ability in priority areas of their choosing.

During the coaching program the participant will be challenged, stimulated and encouraged. The coach cannot ‘do’ the work for them but they will use their skills and experience to help the participant improve performance. The coach will draw upon a range of methods to work with the participant to solve the complex challenges that exist in their world of work. The participant will be provided with regular feedback and support so that they become more empowered and focused in their thinking and behaviour.

About our coaching programs

Our coaching programs are tailored to the development needs of the individual, drawing on current research and evidence-based strategies.

We may utilise psychometric tools in order to assess personal and developmental capability as appropriate. We determine the desired and achievable outcomes that will shape the program, often in conjunction with line managers.

Each individual is expected to develop a personal coaching plan for themselves covering areas such as:

  • Understanding and managing stress, resilience and wellbeing in oneself and others

  • Achieving a better understanding of own style and its impact on others

  • Positive stakeholder engagement, and improved interactions with key partners

  • Managing teams in uncertainty or change

  • ‘Stepping up’ to be a senior leader in the organisation

  • Deepening understanding of direct reports and how to effectively lead and develop them

  • Developing strategic thinking skills

  • Improving communication, purposeful influence and negotiation
